SUMMER THEATRE WORKSHOP
FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
In it❜s fourth year, Special Act Theatre Academy is offering a summer workshop which is tailored to students with special needs. Our workshop introduces students to an interactive theatrical experiences keeping in mind special needs they may have. We do this in the Kettle Moraine Playhouse in Slinger allowing them to participate in an authentic theatrical environment.

Tonya Fordham, an accomplished theatrical director and special education para educator in the West Bend school district, will lead the students through various activities and direct them in a small production. Trained acting coaches will also be present to support the students. At the conclusion of the workshop the production will be shared with family and friends.
We are excited to have two playwrights join us this year to create a script tailored for the students who are in the workshop. William Stavrakos has spent much time writing and acting in California in addition to getting his undergraduate degree there in Acting for Film and his master❜s degree in Screenwriting. One of his original pieces was ❝Knight❞, was written for PITCHFEST 2016 in Hollywood, CA. Talesha Wallace has been writing stories that make a positive impact in others❜ lives. She has written, directed and produced original pieces and started Life Inspired Productions, her production company.
